The short version: PCAPNG Analyzer processes everything locally on your machine. We never see your capture files, packet data, or analysis results. This policy explains the limited data that is collected when you visit this website.
1. The Application
PCAPNG Analyzer is a Windows desktop application. All capture file parsing, analysis, and export happens entirely on your local machine. No capture files, packet data, analysis results, IP addresses from captures, or exported reports are transmitted to us or any third party.
The application does not include telemetry, crash reporting, or any form of usage analytics that sends data off-device.
2. This Website
When you visit pcapnganalyzer.com, our web host automatically records standard server logs. These may include:
- Your IP address
- Browser type and version
- Referring page and pages visited
- Date and time of the request
This information is used solely for security monitoring and diagnosing server issues. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build user profiles. Logs are retained only as long as operationally necessary.
This website does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics scripts.
3. Purchases — Gumroad
The Pro edition is sold through Gumroad, a third-party platform. When you purchase a license, you transact directly with Gumroad. We do not receive, store, or process your payment details, billing address, or any other personal information you provide during checkout.
Gumroad may share your email address with us for the sole purpose of delivering your license key. We do not use that email for marketing or share it with any other party.
Your use of Gumroad is governed by Gumroad's Privacy Policy.
